the only thing PS3 is proven to have on 360 is bluray. The rest is just marketing hype. If you look at technical write ups on both consoles, you see they all conclude that the PS3 just appears more powerful on paper, Like the old Pentium 4s that had higher clock speeds than the Athlons but still got raped in performance by the Athlons.
I reality the two are over all equal because the 360 performs better in some areas and the PS3 performs better in others.

Im not sure how it works but some people are getting free repairs up to a year out of warranty! For this issue only I should be clear on that.

Sony wants to do the right thing and repair this for free, but since it has been kept so quiet by the media I dont think Sony wants to stir things up.
It's important for you guys, the consumers to make a stink about this because I think if this issue comes to light in the mainstream, Sony will make it official policy to repair it for free.
